How to input CS:GO config into CS2

Worried that you've lost your precious custom game settings? Don't worry, in this guide we'll show you how to bring back your config from CS:GO to CS2.

Procedure

  1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<YourSteamID3>\730\local\cfg.
  2. Copy your config.cfg.
  3. Paste it into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\game\csgo\cfg.
  4. Open CS2.
  5. Open console.
  6. Write "exec config"
  7. That's it! You are ready to play CS2 with your CS:GO config
Keep in mind that many settings in CS2 have been permanently or temporarily removed.
